"Hunger is Scary" Food Drive at Green Toyota!

We've teamed up with the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office to collect 5,000 pounds

 of non-perishable food for our local community!

On September 19, 2015 the Clemence Family, of Chatham, were the recipients of a new 2015 Toyota Sienna van- delivered by Green Toyota- along with a $1,000 check, a new car seat and other items for the family!  The van was donated by chivecharities.org.

 

Lizzy (6) and Mason (4) Clemence have a rare genetic disorder called Ligase IV Deficiency.  Ligase IV affects the immune system and both children have undergone bone marrow transplants.  Ligase IV is a very complex disorder.  There have only been 16 known cases worldwide.

While Lizzy has responded well to treatment, Mason has had many complications post-transplant.  The family travels frequently to Cincinnati Children's Hospital for doctors appointments.

Even with medical insurance through Jeff Clemence workplace, the family has acquired a massive amount of medical debt.  Not counting what they will acquire in the future.

On May 8, 2015- Mylas Copeland, General Manager of Green Toyota, participated in the Kiss A Pig gala at the Crown Plaza.

  Raising over $10,000 for the American Diabetes Association.

Green Toyota teamed up with former resident and current 
NBA All-Star Andre Iguodala to help youths in Springfield 
find hard-to-find shoes!


Andre's foundation, AIYF, is being administered by his mother Linda Shanklin.  With Andre's recent NBA contract and recent trade to the Golden State Warriors, he has received a number of new, unused "A I" special collection shoes.  Having gone through the challenges of finding large shoes as a youth, Andre and his foundation are sensitive to those with the same issues today.  As a result, he is donating these shoes back to his home town.

Congratulations to the winner of the 
Toyota '100 Cars for Good' program-
The Prairie Council on Aging!

Prairie Council on Aging, of Jacksonville, is a multi-faceted agency whose purpose is to provide an array of services to persons 60 and over, with emphasis on those persons who have greatest social or economic need, to help them stay in their own homes, independently for as long as possible, safely.

 
They were gifted a new Toyota Sienna van at Green Toyota on January 29th, 2014. 
Toyota USA gave away 100 cars in 100 days to 100 nonprofit organizations in the "100 Cars for Good" program.

Green Toyota serves as a drop-off spot for the Sangamon County Toys for Tots!

We wish to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December 2013 for the Sangamon County chapter of Toys for Tots.  These toys will be distributed as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in our community.

"DRIVE YOUR IQ"

Green Toyota Scion and the Springfield Public School District teamed up to reward one lucky high school student!
The "Drive Your IQ" program was created to encourage high school students to improve their grades, attendance and punctuality to school.  The students earned raffle tickets for their effort in order to win a 2012 Scion IQ.
Over 3,800 tickets were given away during the 2012-2013 school year to over 100 students that participated. 

The lucky winner was drawn on June 8th, 2013.

Allison was surprised with her new 2012 Scion IQ during her afternoon work shift.
