The XLE pairs the THS 5 hybrid system, 236 net combined horsepower, Electronic On-Demand all-wheel drive and 19-inch alloy wheels. New for 2027 it gains standard paddle shifters.

The XLE's standard equipment list is unusually complete: leather-trimmed seating, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, both 12.3-inch screens, wireless smartphone integration, Qi wireless charging, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Bi-LED projector headlights. Toyota estimates 42 mpg city, 38 highway and 40 combined.

The Limited builds on the XLE with 21-inch alloy wheels, Multibeam LED headlights, a fixed panoramic roof, 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio with a rear subwoofer and eight-channel amplifier, and rain-sensing wipers.

It also adds the driver-assistance content that sits above Toyota Safety Sense: Lane Change Assist, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, the Panoramic View Monitor and front and rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking. For 2027 the Panoramic View Monitor, Traffic Jam Assist capability and Digital Key capability all become standard here, and the Limited now offers a full Saddle Tan interior.

The Nightshade is the blacked-out styling grade and Toyota gives it its own standalone equipment list rather than describing it as an XLE with an appearance package. It runs 21-inch matte-black wheels with dark badging, dark window trim, black door handles, black mirror caps and a black shark-fin antenna, and for 2027 it picks up new black badge overlays.

Underneath the styling it carries the THS 5 hybrid and its 236 net combined horsepower, and it is equipped with Multibeam LED headlights, a fixed panoramic roof, 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio, rain-sensing wipers and front and rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking.

The Platinum is the only Crown with Hybrid MAX, which pairs a 2.4-liter turbocharged four with front and rear motors for 340 net combined horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, driving through a Direct Shift-6AT six-speed automatic and Full-Time Electronic all-wheel drive with an eAxle. Toyota estimates 29 mpg city, 32 highway and 30 combined.

It is also the chassis and technology flagship, with Adaptive Variable Suspension, Dynamic Rear Steering that tightens the turning circle to 35.4 feet, a 10-inch head-up display, Advanced Park, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, a hands-free power trunk and a Rear Comfort drive mode. For 2027 it adds standard red brake calipers, a black belt window surround and a revised bi-tone treatment with a body-colored trunk against the black roof.
