The standard electronically locking rear differential evenly distributes engine power to both rear wheels with the press of a button.
As the most powerful powertrain ever offered on a Toyota Tacoma, the available i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain pairs the 2.4L engine with a 48-HP electric motor and 8-speed automatic transmission to generate up to 326 net combined HP and 465 lb-ft of low-end torque at 1700 rpm. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma offers trail-focused features like multi-link rear suspension, Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism and Multi-Terrain Select with a new Crawl Control function that acts as a low-speed, off-road cruise control while maintaining one of five selectable speeds.
