The 2027 Toyota Highlander is Toyota's fourth battery electric vehicle in the US lineup and its first three-row BEV. Toyota equipped the Highlander with a North American Charging System port, which provides broad access to thousands of DC fast charging stations across the United States, including the expanding network of fast chargers throughout Illinois and the greater Springfield area.
For home charging, the Highlander supports Level 2 charging through a standard home charging setup. Toyota also built in a charging state indicator within the full-width LED headlights, so drivers can check the Highlander's charge level at a glance simply by looking at the front of the vehicle without needing to open an app or check a display.
